This is my config for fvwm.
The main features are:
thumbnails of iconified windows
5 buttons on the title bar each with 3 action depending on mouse buttons.
they do, in vertical order:
maximise, maximise vertically, maximise orizontally
send win on background, send win on foreground, set win stiky
warp win left, warp win right, warp win left and follow screen
rearrange wins, rearrenge shaded, arrange in two columns
close, iconify, identify
quake-like console
small dockbar
gestures for most common operations and most used application
transparency using x composition
