I installed this into my .icons folder only to have most of the icons missing. Not sure if this has anything to do with xubuntu or whether you uploaded an incomplete set.
Definitely want to see more icons like this. I like dark stuff. I would only suggest a little bit of bright colors in your icons to highlight their darkness. That may sound strange but I think it adds lots of character, and makes them more recognizable to the eyes.
Are you interested in having more icons like these? Maybe you know a bit of SVG making? Let's make some dark icons then! Reply to this if you'd like to help me developing the icon theme. :)

At this moment you can only use if it as panel icons. I can go on if you like the style. :)
