Description: Includes: GTK2/3 Theme Metacity theme - please choose whether you want your window controls on the right (Windows style) or Left (mac style) Unity theme
The culmination (but by no means the final say) in my work on the Watercolor theme originally by roberTO. What started out as a mere port of the Windows Whistler window decorations has morphed into something wonderful.
This theme features flat window decorations, although the close button is red, round and sticks out for easy clickings. In Unity, for maximized windows, all buttons appear as circles.
I am deeply indebted to Andrey Nikitin (SunStroke) for Mist-Redmond, from which I have inherited the GTK theme, modified slightly to be more Whistler-like. As that work is licensed under the GPL, so is this: free for you to modify, share, and remix!
Enjoy!
Changelog: 2013/03/03 Changed the GTK theme as per recommendation.
2013/03/02 - Updated the metacity theme to have white font for titles instead of black, and faded white for background windows to better distinguish the two. This is based on a screenshot of the original theme. - Inactive windows now have a solid dark blue window title, more in line with the original Windows Whistler - Added a version for window controls on the right side
It's like an updated version of Clearlooks. The only changes I'd suggest: When used on Cinnamon, the text for the icons is dark, and that doesn't jive with dark backgrounds. Any way to make the text white with a black outline? (...or vice versa?) Would it be possible to have the stripes in the progress bars moving?
For the first part, open up ~/.themes/Watercolor Flat/gtk-3.0/settings.ini in a text editor. I think the setting you want to change is "ntext_color" - change it to #FFFFFF for white. This might make everything white though.
As for animated progress bars, I'll look into it. Do you know of any themes that have it for an example I can work off of? Thanks.

The Mint-X theme (default in Linux Mint) has it: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Mint-X-Colors?content=157097
I've seen plenty of whistler themes but this one while nice needs to have the controls themed watercolor style too.
Done!
