Description:
OxygenRefit2 is an icon-compilation primarly made for my desktop.

Well, I would say OR2 is the most complete icon-theme to date.

I’ve sampled all icons I like (mostly Oxygen) and made the package.

BTW: OR2 2.6.0 will add the script for modifying the theme on-the-fly.

NOTE: The release-tarball include 16×16 24×24 32×32 48×48 icons only. If you want other sizes too, download the GIT-repo, as it contains the 128×128 icons.

Do you create the next version of your nice iconset? I like it with combined with the "BSM Flat Blue" Gtk-Theme.

Chrispy

Of course there will be a new version. I just can't say, when it will occur. It is planned to add configurability back (you know the script hydroxygen uses was originally written by me for OxygenRefit 1). If you have any suggestions, feel free to ask.

skull-y

Thanks for your answer. :)

Chrispy

BTW: The Next version will also be fully compatible to KDE4 (thus you could use the theme in both KDE and GNOME applications).

i tried to run the buildallsizes.sh script, but it only creates a 16x16 folder, and after reinstalling the theme it still grows as hell. Then i tried to remove the 128x1218 folder and only leave the 16x16 one. then i was sure i totally removed all previous versions in the .themes folder, and reinstalled this again. still huge! (128x128) please scale it down, and upload. i dont care about larger file size. 16x16, 32x32, 48x48 and 64x64 would be fine enough.

Chrispy

Next version will have a small and a large tarball. Wait until this weekend.

klemperal

All of the icons in this theme are showing up huge.

Chrispy

Like I've already stated in the ChangeLog, this version explicitly only shipps the 128x128 icons, for faster up/downloading. You need to create the the other sizes on your own: - unpack tarball - cd into the new directory - ./buildallsizes.sh* * requires imagemagick to be installed NOW install the theme.

I've fixed the link a while ago (...)

matima20

Great icon set - beautiful to look at and a joy to use. Many thanks for your hard work ;)

DEEP79

Great work. I use Mandriva 2009. Now both Gnome and KDE on my Mandriva look so similar. Its a dream kum true for me. thx.

Chrispy

thanks

weakhead

...OxygenRefit2 simply rocks. This set is one of the most complete I've found here. Icons are nicely designed(great work of original KDE4 Oxygen authors) and really sharp! I've tried Hydroxygen and OxygenRefit2 color mods, but all of them are little bit blurry... Great job!

Chrispy

thanks for the kind words :)

I really like this icon theme! I noticed that the icon which is named zoom-best-fit.png in your icon theme has the name zoom-fit-best.png in the default Human icon theme of Ubuntu. Could you please rename it? And it would be great, if you could use symlinks for icons which are in the icon theme under more than one filename, so the size of the icon theme gets smaller.

Chrispy

I'll rename the icon in the next release, thanks for pointing that out!

Hi Chrispy, Great job! It's kinda late for me to ask, but do you mind if I link your content to mine? here's mine: http://www.xfce-look.org/content/show.php/Simple+Gray?content=90622&PHPSESSID=52cf86c27a4fd8a6afe5900d6054df50 Just comment and let me know if you have any objection, and I will remove the link :)

Chrispy

An Icon Theme should have a valid .theme file among its files and aim to be complete for desktop use under Gnome or KDE Plasma.

If it contains only a single icon or a small set of icons, please use the Icon Sub-Sets or Single Icon/Logo categories instead.
