Missing several XDG Spec. Folders ~/.templates ~/.public ~/.documents * ~/.pictures or ~/.documents/pictures * ~/.videos or ~/.documents/videos * ~/.music or ~/.documents/music * Depends on how XDG was configured BTW an "executable icon" for random unclassifiable icons (for example /usr/bin) would be nice.
Love the icons...i'm using them!!! But just wanted to ask you how can I change the applications icon...I have a white ball!!! I would like to have the gnome icon. Can you tell me how to do that? Tanks
thanks for the theme! it's a pity it isnt finished...
.. I hope you're still working on it. ;) I'd like to have appropriate gray icons for network-manager applet, firefox/icecat and "accessories" in gnome menu. Anyway, you got my "good" vote. ;)
I just tried this last night at home and I'm no longer getting the blinking panels. That was quite a trip when I tried your icon theme the first time and got the blinking panels! LOL Luckily I knew that I could also right-click on the desktop and get to the theme dialogs from there to restore some sanity! LOL) But all is well now with the latest version. :-)
i actually like the new folder icon :)
just wanted to let you know i am experiencing the same problem with applications closing, but the problem occurs with gedit and the gnome-main-menu on the gnome-panel. just wanted to let you know for future updates. i love the theme, keep up the good work!
I was in love with this theme... until my desktop started blinking uncontrollably and I could open up any new applications. my panel wouldn't even load up. luckily, I had a terminal app called "Guake" running which i could activate with f1 and i was able to rm -rf the simplygrey folder in my ~/.icons folder. but seriously... it was like nothing i'd ever seen! I was about ready to re-install jaunty. luckily, i just had to remove a single folder instead. i'm getting that same error as mentioned up above... thats what gave me the idea to delete the folder. fix this.
I had the same problem, but was able to fix it by fixing the symbolic links indicated in this comment: http://comments.deviantart.com/1/116959718/1015709883
I like your theme very much, but this error is very bad for me: lovetz@dell-500 ~ $ totem (totem:17535): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory scalable/stock of theme SimplyGrey has no size field ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Init of Python module ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Registering Python plugin instance: BBCViewer+TotemPythonPlugin ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Creating object of type BBCViewer+TotemPythonPlugin ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Creating Python plugin instance ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Init of Python module ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Registering Python plugin instance: YouTube+TotemPythonPlugin ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Creating object of type YouTube+TotemPythonPlugin ** (totem:17535): DEBUG: Creating Python plugin instance ** Gtk:ERROR:/build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.14.4/gtk/gtkrecentmanager.c:1933:get_icon_fallback: assertion failed: (retval != NULL) Aborted Please fix it.
i liked your previous, slanted, version of the folder icon better.
I'll make it optional in the next release
I don't know if it's only me but I get this message with gnome-mplayer 0.95 : "(gnome-mplayer:9693): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory scalable/stock of theme SimplyGrey has no size field ** Gtk:ERROR:gtkrecentmanager.c:1933:get_icon_fallback: assertion failed: (retval != NULL) "
will fix that for next version, it's nothing visible, right?
In fact gnome-mplayer just does not load so indeed in a way nothing is visible ;) ! Good icons theme anyway !
Evolution crashes with your icon theme with almost same error : (evolution:28919): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory scalable/stock of theme SimplyGrey has no size field ** Gtk:ERROR:/build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.14.4/gtk/gtkrecentmanager.c:1933:get_icon_fallback: assertion failed: (retval != NULL) Abandon I've added the scalable/stock section to the index.theme, it fixes the first error, but evolution still crashes with this message : Gtk:ERROR:/build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.14.4/gtk/gtkrecentmanager.c:1933:get_icon_fallback: assertion failed: (retval != NULL) Abandon
fixed ! I've just add this in index.theme : [scalable/stock] Size=32 Context=Stock Type=Scalable
I don't know why but above fix has worked only once. Now evolution crashes again and also totem. Shame that this theme crashes so many apps, hope next version will fix that.
I think there's a row like: [scalable/stock/generic] replace that with: [scalable/stock] and it should work :)
Already tried that, but doesn't work : evolution and totem still crash.
Ok, I think I've fixed the issue. I've changed the minsize in several sections (scalable/actions, scalable/devices, scalable/places, scalable/status, scalable/stock) and now it works :) Now, can't wait for your future releases with plenty of new icons !
Unfortunately, this fix worked once on evolution, but now it crashes again (still with same error as mentionned above).
Great theme, I really like it! Only one thing I'd like to see changed: the icons for clear and delete are the same at the moment and in programs that use both it's difficult to know which is which (e.g. in LottaNzb delete is used to, well "delete" stuff, while clear is used to clear completed downloads) .
tight icons eh brew! works really well with elegant brit. hope ff theme is in the works!
Hi, Again, I have to say this is one of the best gnome icon theme I ever viewed. May I suggest you to add some apps like easytag, eclipse, banshee, gnome-do. Thanks again for your work !
