I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that the default Gnome icon theme is excellent, except for those god-awful folder colours. This is a complete set of replacement folder icons based on the originals.
Last changelog:

v1.1: Tweaked small icon colours to be consistent with scalable icons; stock icon colours much closer to the rest; desaturated drop shadows

Isn't the Mist iconset just about the same as the Gnome iconset, but with blue folders?
