Description: I really like the Murrine-Theme for GTK. But I'm not using GNOME. A script creating a domino-config for every colour-scheme makes your desktop just look like the Murrine-GTK-Theme!
I have created domino-configs for the colour-schemes: - Black - Pure Technology - Paper - Black-White'n'Green Beauty - windowmaker_black - Gilouche - DarkNights - openBC - Human - carmelo
There is also a program that creates a Domino config for a colour-scheme.
Please give me suggestions and tell me why you voted good or bad for Domino-Murrina
SCREENSHOTS 1: shows domino-murrina with the Black-colour-scheme 2: shows domino-murrina with the Gilouche-colour-scheme
INSTALLATION - domino_murrina-configfiles_0.3.tar.gz contains config files for domino-murrina; extract to ~/.qt - domino_murrina_0.3.tar.gz is the tarball for the Domino config creator
USING DOMINO-CONFIG'S - open domino-config - Load/Save - Load Murrina-(name of colour-scheme)
USING DOMINO-CONFIG-CREATOR - run domino_murrina - select colour-scheme - click OK-Button
BUGS - none - if found please report them
TODO - I will create a Domino config creator that creates Domino configs not only for making your desktop look like Murrina; I will create an app that can create Domino configs that will let your desktop look like Polyester, QTCurve, Plastik etc.. - I will add an option to set make buttons etc. more/less shiny.
I suggest the following possibility. Whatever button on the toolbar appear only when you mouse cursor. Ordinarily, on the toolbar should only be icons. Of course, it should be optional.
I just don't know how to use this theme. I have copied all the config files to ~/.qt and compiled DOMINO-CONFIG-CREATOR. But how do I use this theme? How do I open domino-config?
Hi, very good theme.
I am using OpenSuSE 10.2 with the new SuSE menu (kickoff). When I use domino the icons and the text in the tabs in the menu appear shift, by default the text is under the icon with domino the text is in the rigth.
How can I change the style to correct this problem?
Thanks.
This is only a pack of Domino config files and a program that creates Domino config files to let your dektop look like Murrina.
You should tell this bug to the Domino developer.
I get this error building the configurator application:

It says it can't find domino_murrinawidgetbase.h file and domino_murrina.moc.
I've executed ./configure before and I've compiled a lot of KDE apps without problems.
I have the same error and it doesn't work even on fresh install. Also why have you mentioned domino_murrina.moc when the file is not included in the package? :-/
I have found the problem:
If you I use Project -> Distribution & Publishing in KDevelop a tarball will be created where some files are missing.
Now I created a tarball not using KDevelop. All needed files are now in it.
I have tested it with Ubuntu Edgy and it functions.
Only few changes are away from the next release of Domino-Murrina.
I need some help to finish the next release:
Using KSimpleConfig I can create kde-config-files:
KSimpleConfig *dominoConfig = new KSimpleConfig( "~/.qt/domino_murrina-"+nameOfColourScheme+"rc" );
But if I call dominoConfig->sync() no files were createn.
The problem is that '~' for the home folder does not function.
How can I find out what the home folder of the current user is?
wow, thanks for the script. Though, is it possible to sync it with more colors than just the background color? Eg. selection colors should at least be part of it (mouse hover, focus...), etc.
Next release i'll do it
I'll try to use the selection color for example as default-button colour. Perhaps it will look great.
In the script i have to add code to read colour-scheme files first; it will be so usefull.

the links have gone dead! please up 'em again mate!
Worthless.
The links are dead. Can somebody upload the files again or mail them to me?
Hi, I would like it too. So if you could upload it again or send it to me too... Thanks,
Please upload somewhere else or correct the links! Thank you for this great theme!
Yes please, I was trying to download it but... it's dead :(
what window decoration is that? thx

Please suggest this to Domino.

This package includes Domino config files and a Domino config file creator. You should install Domino to use my config-files.

I will now release verion 0.0.5 of Domino-Murrina. Hope if fixed there the problem (using make distclean and reautomaking)

Problem solved using QDir.

thnx, very good job!
please post the color theme as well. I don't have it in my KDE defaults. Nice shot, btw.
