Description:

AutoKey is a desktop automation utility for Linux and X11. It allows you to manage collection of scripts, and assign abbreviations and hotkeys to these scripts allowing you to execute them on demand in whatever program you are using. Using this approach, it is possible to automate virtually any task that can be accomplished via the keyboard.

I've heard of a few cases of this - there is no known solution as yet. If you are running on Ubuntu Karmic, it is a bug in that they haven't updated to the latest python-qscintilla2 yet.

I'm using Kubuntu jaunty.
Problem solved after installation of the following packages from karmic:
- python-qscintilla2_2.4-3_amd64.deb
- libqscintilla2-5_2.4-3_amd64.deb
- python-support_1.0.3ubuntu1_all.deb

Now it works!

Confirmed. I installed KDE4.3 on jaunty ( using backports ppa) and I received this error. Installed these three karmic packages and Autokey runs fine again.
