Is not my fault, the icons don't work with this programs correctly.
I suggest you uncheck the option to show the number of unread articles in Akregator;
And use the gmail-plasmoid instead of Kmail notification.
They are in the standard Oxygen theme, iirc:
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/32x32/status/user-away.png
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/32x32/status/user-away-extended.png
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/32x32/status/user-busy.png

I don't know if it is possible to theme these.
There is a bug report at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302993 for the support of the theme based icons. looks like the deleoper doent understand und just want to change the standardicon. would be good if someone can try to make things clear that we can have theme based icons for ktp :)
Most of my tray icons seem to change automatically with my theme, but the normal 'available'/'online' icon stays default no matter what. Pretty annoying to have that big green ball in my nice monochrome tray...and really weird that it seems to be the only status that won't change. Pic related: http://i.imgur.com/7Q6jB.png
I did knowing it would not work, because this program does not support SVG or PNG with transparency, then I decided to leave it as was because the icon would to have background color and would look ugly.
But since there is interest from someone, I will soon launch a new version with the icon "fake transparency" and write the instruction installation. OK?
But anyway, if you want to do, just replace the icon:
~/.jdownloader/jd/img/logo/jd_logo_128_128.png
As far as I know, the Skype tray icon can't be changed. Even after deploying your icon set, I still get the default green Skype icon. So my question is: is there some sort of trick to get kde to replace Skype's icon with the prettier monochrome one?

A monochrome icon for KTP would be awesome and almost completely round out my tray icons' color scheme :) Very nice work!

Akonadi icon do not work. Using in KDE 4.8, Kubuntu 11.10
I don't know, here in 12.04 works. Try to install as sudo for all users: /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/default/icons/
